Standardized comparisons give you comfort in your
CovenantCare voluntarily participates in Medicare’s evaluation of home health care agencies. The survey results from our agencies provide meaningful comparisons of home care for all customers. The survey results (which are collected by either mailed surveys or phone calls) are available to all customers at Consumer Assessment of Health care Providers and Systems (CAHPS).
Your feedback and participation is completely voluntarily and will not affect your health benefits in any way. But, more importantly, your feedback is an invaluable part of our continuing efforts to provide all of our customers with excellent care.
The survey, also known as the “Home Health Care CAHPS Survey” (HH CAHPS), is designed to measure the experiences of people receiving home health care from Medicare-certified home health agencies. It produces comparable data on the patient’s perspective that allows objective and meaningful comparisons between home health agencies on topics that are important to consumers. It also allows public reporting of survey results that will create incentives for agencies to improve their quality of care. The public reporting enhances the accountability principals already embraced by CovenantCare. An old adage states that you cannot please everyone all of the time. Our goal is to employ a team of expert caregivers to please one family at a time. With this approach, services conform to customers – not a formula.
